  • Feels like they have been told to slash inventory and improve cashflow - this has meant some good bargains (I got one of the new saddles for £125 rather than the £300 it was a couple of weeks ago) BUT who on earth would ever pay full price for any Rapha product nowadays? Constant sales and discounting.

Also the new website is still useless - and very misleading around availability and pricing at times.

  • 50% off mitts possibly the biggest anti climax...

  • @übé®_grübé® when you say "dump the worst of their gear" do you mean in terms of quality or stuff that doesn't sell as well? I've just bought something from SP that I've never owned so wondered if their "made for their outlet" quality?

  • i've never had any issue with SP, clothing or returns -
i thought Rapha had a different warranty police on sale items?

i guess the old saying - ya pays ya money ya takes ya choice

.....and perhaps this big dump of stock/sale is Rapha getting back to less products, it certainly seems every race from now until the dawn of time has had some sort of limited edition shirt/anniversary shirt/riders shrit from Rapha

  • I mean design/quality control wise.

They're sourcing items from multiple factories in different countries on new lines every year and just seems like the sizing and material quality/construction is really varied now.

  • @übé®_grübé® nice one ta. I bought the winter lobster claw style gloves for circa £40 they seemed a bit plasticy and wondered the Rapha shop version would be better.
I've missed in the Rapha sale online on multiple times so thought this seems easy.
    cheers

  • Especially when I just bought a pair at the first discount level.

  • I’ve got all my hopes and dreams pinned on the Pro team Race Cape getting involved

  • I've known Thom is pro-Brexit for ages but I really like his stuff :(

  • Are the classic mitts any good? My current track mitts are a bit the worse for wear and I've been looking for a replacement.

  • I hate wearing gloves, but as far as gloves go, they're mighty mighty fine.

  • Unless you're talking about the classic crochet mitts that are on sale today, in which case, I have no experience at all.

  • I have the crochet mitts and love them

  • Get them tight. They stretch on first wears.

  • did someone say crotch mitts? a new rapha product i never knew i needed...£100 with rapha pink stripe?

  • with pink stripe?

Depends how see through they are

  • Get them tight. They stretch on first wears.

    ahaaaaaa after my comment ahaaaaa

  • Pro-brexit and racist are two different things is what I have been told .. also what/why do you like? EXTREMELY (below) average products with the whole "made in Engurlund"angle.

  • Referring to this: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/14360420/

    Anyone?
About to place a big order and would hate to overpay obviously.

  • Pro Team Insulated Gilet or Pro Team Lightweight Rain Gilet?

Which might be a more versatile choice? I have a Gore Shakedry rain jacket already so I'm guessing the Insulated Gilet?

  • if you ride in the winter the insulated gilet is a great bit of kit.

  • Nice one! Think I'll grab one so!

  • Anyone tired Rapha's pro saddle? Aka feedback?

  • Bought one, not fitted it yet. It looks very nice though.
