Saturday was a hard day. It was scorching, the sun and heat were unbearable, we had no shade, but we got the engine and gearbox out. We had to finish there for the day because we were knackered. Only broke the speedo cable and cut a gear shift boot unnecessarily, that was frustrating because this one was basically new, but minor issues. Uncovered some bodges, spilt gearbox oil everywhere, but definitely a good learning experience. Hoping for cooler temps this Saturday if anyone wants to come an help dress the new engine and get it in the car.
