• @7ven how are you today?

  • No better today so have scratched. Spoke to a doctor who didn't think it was feasible to tape it up for the rest of the ride. It is here atop this beautiful Polish mountain that I've hung up my hat. Pretty hard to sit there watching everyone else coming and going.

  • Sorry to hear that. Well done for getting that far!

  • You have done brilliantly, hold your head, as best you can, high with pride. Look at that view too!

  • Well done for making it so far! Nearly 2000km is a great feat.
I'm sure it'll feel bad now, but you'll be able to look back on this with pride.

  • Very tough call, but it sounds like a wise one. Chapeau, cracking ride.

  • Enjoy the rest - you've given it your best shot and earned a break!

  • I’m sure it’s hard to feel positive right now, but you’ve done absolutely brilliantly. I for one am in awe of your achievements.

  • It is indeed beautiful. Massive props for the effort and achievement this far. Sounded mentally and physically brutal. Time to recover.

  • While you must be devastatingly disappointed just now, you should also be immensly proud of what you have achieved. You have literally pushed yourself to the limit and across a massive distance, up and down mountains and through the Alps. You have also taken a very brave and sensible decision.

I hope that we will be following your dot again next year. Remember that skinny had exactly the same issues, worked with a physio (Blue Rip on here) and came back stronger.

  • Nearly 2000km or 2Mm, not a unit anyone uses because it's stupidly far. Epic effort @7ven and scratching a good decision. You wouldn't want to do long term damage to something as crucial as your neck!

    Take a (careful) bow son!
