  • Wouldn't they confirm if it was stolen? If it wasn't then wouldn't that have been the owner and if so use the plate that they blurred out in that photo.

    Im more confused now

  • I do wonder if it goes into the 'no-one was actually hurt, therefore don't really care' pile due to policing cuts.

  • Yes, im sure thats what they would do. However they may not be legit plates which makes tracking abit more tricky.

  • Commute with saddlebag and nothing on my back felt so free and easy this morning (although I was still sweaty AF when I got in, but that was just going to happen on a day this hot). Nelson longflap is probably overkill for what I carry most summer days but it's nice to have the option for a bit of shopping and any potential awkward loads. I fixed the bottom strap to a bar on my rack rather than round the seatpost as I didn't like the angle the latter gave the bag; may sway a bit more with a full load but I prefer it sitting flat on the rack so there's less chance of it clipping my legs.

  • Some interesting observation this morning:

    • Loads of 1970's American cars and a huge lighting rig being put up outside Royal College of Physicians, obviously filming for something interesting.
    • Someone driving the wrong way down Gloucester Place, which if you don't know is a one way street three lanes wide.
    • Someone else reversing an SUV down carriage drive cycle path, the car was almost the same width as it.
    • Also I'm really fed up with seeing all the scummy guys leaving their empty coffee cups and containers out the costa coffee on the corner of Edgeware road and George street, such a shitty thing to do.

There are a few options for using something as an offstand for a carradice. I bolt one of these to mine, which clips round the seatpost. Or you can use something like this mounted on the seatpost.

Ever since it came out in the news that those paper cups can't be recycled, the sight of them enrages me... they are fcking everywhere

  • Related to the filming around St. Pauls yesterday evening?

  • Don't you just love those speed bumps that sit in the middle of each lane?

Always get buzzed by drivers insisting on taking them square on and the only reason they exist in the first place is because drivers can't be relied upon not to speed.

  • No Idea, what were they filming there? I've always felt it looks like a 1960's embassy though

  • Its always espresso cups here, they dump them on and around the utilities boxes, as you can see.

Every time I sit at those lights there's a pile, drives me loopy. The shop is just behind them and there is a bloody bin round the corner.

Littering is one of the few things that really pushes my buttons.

  • Probably worth complaining to Costa about it.

Assuming an overwhelming proportion of the litter is their produce.

did anyone else notice the cyclists name was Dave Clifton !! - surely not THE Dave Clifton ?

  • In The Mail now, BTL's frothing nicely:

if it was Corbyn then i am glad.

Policeman did not try to arrest him because it is a white on white crime and not what they are told they can work on. If it was a Christian preacher there would have been an army of Police there.

Met police: ¿We urge the public to arrest as many villains as possible so that we don¿t have to (as long as they are not minorities of any sort - if they are we will have to arrest you instead) as we are far to busy eating doughnuts and drinking coffee.¿

  • As someone who wears glasses please refrain from using it as a way to insult random strangers

  • Although (as someone who also wears glasses) it's a kind of bemusing rather than deeply hurtful insult, reminds me of small children who can't think of anything worse to taunt you with .

  • Having worn glasses since I was 3 I've always found being called four eyes hilarious for the same reason.

A bit like when people sometimes shout lesbian at me, yes, yes I am. How can I help you? 😂

  • You speccy twat!

  • My mate started calling me quadeye as a joke: "don't trust him, he's a quadeye" etc haha. I love the ingenuity of the insult that it's never not funny/taken seriously!

  • Our fake rock band was called Four Eyes because we all wore glasses.

  • More than a few out this morning with fully unzipped jerseys. Didnt think it was that hot at half 7 in Brixton.

  • Today was my first "commute" from waterloo station round to fleet st, having moved out of london and missing doing at least some biking. I bought myself an utter piece of shit/frankenbike/bitzer for £40 off gumtree: 58cm peugeot mont blanc frame with DIY cantilever brakes, 26" chunky af mountain bike tires, an upsidedown mounted kids mtb flat bar with some old school chrome down tube shifters mounted on them and seat with a quick release thing which comes off of a wheel. The idea is to hopefully be theft proof so I can leave it at station overnight...

  • Northern line from Balham this morning after crashing at a friend's place.

Noticed an advert for a car hire service with a 'virtual tour guide' - claiming to be 'the coolest way to sight-see'. Fucking hell - cars for tourists in Zone 1?!

I despair. Why is that a thing?
