thx, im taking the car back to the shop today. Nicely spotted, yeah i saw that too with the white stripe developing. Dont know if thats from the other belt failing or if the belts just dont match this car very well.. Hard for me to say as i know jack about this sorta of stuff but its very annoying after a big bill. And these were just installed in order for them not to fail in the future.. (guess thats always the case tho)
That potentially damaged belt is not spinning either as its powered by the axle driven by the belt that has allrdy failed. So that side of the engine should be safe, i hope..
Im thinking perhaps the slim pointy tooth are easily bent to the sides under preassure and perhaps the point are broken of an then the belt becomes to loose? Is that not a scenario that could potentially happen with these type of different tooth?
They better not charge me when i come to pick it up
