Not sure as I'm only going off that one photo - but it would appear that he's riding unsupported on a road bike. Very different to a TT bike and a support crew of about 12 people which I had for lejog. The rra is very strict about rules and officials bring present whereas, from what I understand, the lejogle (or joglejog) record is much more informal.
The current record, as mentioned above, was set as joglejog by a chap called James McDonald who lives close to the route near Beattock. I understand that he was supported. I have never met him but he gave me loads of useful advice on Twitter regarding Scottish roads when I was prepping.
Would be good if there was a tracker link for KA, see whether he uses the a30 for example. Best of luck to him.
