So to cement my lack of knowledge in this department..
Can a belt in a car for a certain position and pulleys look very different yet carry out the same quality job? I realize the belt and pulley dont mech like a chain and cog so they may perhaps be perfectly fine even tho they look very different?
The fine tooth one is the one i cut out from the car.
The longer less pointy belt is the one i think was originally in the car in the same possition as it more or less matches in length if i count the bit still stuck in the pulley..
would both these 2 belt types work fine on the pulleys seen below ? Was originally fitted to the pulley furthest to the right i imagine..
I don't think tooth pitch of the belt matters much if the pulley is a plain V-groove ... but the one on the left is already cracking. Can you get a new one?
