Brompton journeys are shorter which doesn't warrant dynamo and if you get a bag those lights can just stay in there with a 5cm USB cable to charge. Its completely unnecessary on a brompton IMO.

Single speed/double speed/six speed?
-
• #4711
Asked predominantly to those who own such a bike, and have visited my house.

• #4712
You don’t exactly live in a flat area...
-
• #4713
2 speed! if I needed id go 3 long before 6
-
• #4714
6 speed .. same as I have, you can have a go with normal length seatpost (if you can) next time you are in SCH. I think I came to yours on brompton last time round .. had to use my lowest gear.

• #4715
Either 2 spd or 6 spd
-
• #4716
I shall ride round to yours on my 2 speed then we can laugh about our attempts to ride up your road on it for weeks afterwards.
-
• #4717
6 speed unless you like spinning out on 75gi
-
• #4718
Just sold a chpt3 and the guy made me fit marathon plus tyres.
-
• #4719
I own a 2 speed, having visited yours, i would say not 2 speed.
Commuting home to the GFs parents is uphill the entire way and ive been basically falling through their front door every evening

Ok, so I'm looking for an M6L, with a dynamo?
-
• #4721
M? get S!
Yes, with dynamo.
-
• #4722
Presumably M with S bars for maximum slammage
-
• #4724
Always s.

I'm 187cm, if that matters?
Side by side the Shimano is so much rougher and so much slower, Son spins for days. With the better lamp includes (£100 retail vs £30ish) I think it’s ok value at retail tbh.
