He was actually a Scot.

Ah ok makes sense. I have learnt that generally coppers don't like being called 'mate' but it is fun to do.

Fucking loser was probably plod in the UK and moved over here so he'd get to play with a gun. Joke's on him as he now spends his days as a glorified security guard for the movie industry.

Guy tries to undertake me (squeezing imbetween me and a nodder) to overtake a bus that I’m clearly trying to overtake, but haven’t, as it’s not clear to do so yet.
He tries again, so I say “oi listen mate, don’t undertake, it’s dangerous, overtake.”
He then takes great offence to this and says “that’s your opinion, do I look like a dangerous cyclist?” Lycra, flourish helmet, road bike with fancy paint job of course.
Well yes mate you look like a dangerous cyclist, cos you act like one. I just replied “not an opinion, look it up in the Highway Code”. Not my finest comeback but I was late for work.
Fucking bellends treating their commute like a cat race.

"Sorry, my bad. You look like a CAT 6 racer"

The cyclist, Motorbike and van were cutting the amber fine also.

Right? What’s funny is most of them aren’t that fast.

More lorries than usual out this morning or was that just me? Otherwise very decent ride in. Trialing massive seatpost bag v backpack at the moment. Less sweaty back for the win!
-
• #23788
May have to do this when (if) I eventually get back on the bike as I don't think the collar bone is going to like backpack straps. What are you using?
-
• #23789
Ordered a Carradice saddlebag (Nelson longflap) last night because I'm sick of carrying things on my back too. Right now even my shortest commute has me literally dripping sweat when I get in and leaves me with a sore strip across my chest from the strap so things can only get better.

Does amber mean:
a) Stop?
b) Last 3 put the hammer down? So, 'B' all round then. Chumps.

One of these. Found it really good, saddle clips abit of a pain but thats it.

Nice one. I made the same change recently and things are much better.
Just be careful when wheeling the bike or leaning it on something!

Only thing I'm not looking forward to is when I have to cover at the clinics with no locking bike sheds. I already bought one of those folding nylon tote bags so I can line the saddlebag with it and yank everything out when I go inside, leaving the saddlebag on the bike, but I absolutely do not trust some of the dodgy characters who hang around these places not to try walking off with it if it's out in the open. At least at one place it's in view of a receptionist so I can be nice to her and ask her to give a yell at anyone other than me fiddling with it.

At least you had the cam and can roadsafe the lot of 'em!

Thanks - my only concern with this method is whether I could attach a fly6 in any useful way. Anyone got any experience?

All Canadians Are Bastards

This is true. There are slots to clip lights to on the roll up end but they may not let the fly hang straight, depends on how full it is i guess.

he goes postal, screaming about not being "a bobby on the beat in London" and if I behave like that around him he'll give me a good smack. Vancouver's finest eh.
With friends like that, eh?

• #23799
that’s your opinion, do I look like a dangerous cyclist?
Nnnngngggggggg
YES YOU CUNT I'M NOT WASTING MY BREATH ON YOU FOR SHITZ AND GIGGLES
-
• #23800
Yup exactly. He's giving it all the "be calm, we're all fine" attitude too. I just kept repeating "read the highway code" at him. Classic club racer moves during the commute.
Yep that's about all I need to know
WTF????
