I don't know how you guys got through that last year.
In 2016 I only had one really hot day, in Greece. It probably wasn't more than 40, maybe 38, but was really unpleasant. Cold water in my bottles warmed up after half an hour riding. I rode all night to finish even though I was knackered because I dreaded riding another day in that heat.
