Sometimes you read something and it gives you physical pain--from the second race report:

Innes Ogilvie arrived at CP1 at 8:49pm and swiftly headed back out and up the mountain. But 12 hairpins from the top he heard a loud crack from his knee. He almost walked the rest so he could descend the other side of the pass but decided to return to Control. On the ride back he wasn’t able to keep his shoes clipped-in on even the smallest of climbs because of the pain. No sign of him yet this morning.

Hope he gets better or takes the sensible decision to abandon.

That's my pal. He's gonna struggle on for a bit but it is sounding like his race is over. He thinks its his MCL

Real shame as he was going pretty well.
