which pairs nicely with the Pinion-capable BB thing
I'm pretty sure the BB isn't pinion-capable, it's just an ugly solution to put tension on the chain.

Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
I'm a function-over-form sort of guy - actually I'm more like a form-is-irrelevant sort of guy - others may disagree. It's ugly admittedly
@Jaap -
@dear_susan_bicycles itβs the olsenbicycles pinion rocker system- it means I can use it for chain/belt tension, as well as swapping it out for a pinion.eu gearbox. It can also be used to change reach or B.B. drop for different cockpit/wheel/tyre set ups...

But it's exactly the opposite of that. The raised chain stay is the only functional thing about it. It's built purely for form, just with bad taste, see all colour matched anodising, looks like cable to hydro converter, stupid fork rather than conventional suspension, space for one bottle inside the main triangle.
Just a shit bike made probably by some radavist wannabe in america. probably.Edit: Dear Susan, that explains it

olsenbicycles pinion rocker system
My bad! Damn those things stick out like a sore thumb.
That framebag though! Trippy as f.

Yeah, I don't disagree that it's got some weird choices, I just meant the chainstays and BB specifically are functional
colour matched anodising
My confession, I hate colour ano. It never looks good to me. Even black.

I'm a fan, though things I would change.
People who have issues with Petor's bikes are probably the most boring uncle dad fixie lords around
-
• #43858
does that explain the cranks too?

Or, alternatively, there remains the possibility that they have both functioning eyes and a disdain for pretentious non-innovations with a price tag commensurate to their market.
Given a choice between using a quick link or paying through the nose for the pleasure of riding that abomination, I confess I would spend the Β£2.50 and feel I'd chosen the better option. But it is interesting in a first year product design project kind of way.

That Dear Susan is pure art

I bet it's super chuckable

Perhaps even "boring uncle dad fixie lords" get to cry "the king has no clothes"?

does that explain the cranks
Nothing explains Hope cranks

Top Gear fanatics the lot of you

Who's joking?

Is it just an optical illusion that they look out of parallel?
-
• #43869
I don't think so.
Edit: ruler held up against my screen says they are definitely off.

I'm a big fan of weird 90's mtb suspension experiments, and stupid klunkers, and lauf forks, and ridiculous ano⦠but that Dear Susan belongs here. It is truly awful.

• #43871
What the wanktits is going on at the front rotor?
-
• #43872
That is the suspension I think?

• #43873
This is my younger brothers attempt at a conversion . Having ridden it around the block I can confirm it rides as shit as it looks.

What is this geo?
The same family as Schwinn beach cruiser/Electra Townie/Dutch bike. Works great for about a billion casual cyclists who value comfort and stability over speed.
Still looks shit tho
