Yes he was flying. I saw him when he was stopped at CP1, then he passed me leaving CP2 - basically taken a day out of me in about 1200km!
He came 4th but would probably have got 3rd if he'd not damaged his wheel. -
I remember watching that. What an incredible comeback!

After such a rollercoaster start, that is remarkable.
Sometimes it take a bit of adversity to get those legs to pedal.
