  • Pimlico Plumber

    Say no more

  • Gave this guy a lift in this morning

  • Under GDPR you can get any video from the bus for free, if you know which bus it was!

  • The thorny ovipositor indicates a female.
    Probably

  • #meetoo’d by an insect!

  • ‘Thorny Ovipositor’ is my new stripper name.

  • Your agent will probably suggest dropping the initial 't'.

  • Been a gobby twat: screamed 'Look' at a lady who pulled out of a T-junction into my path without looking right at all.

Was approaching a right hand turn fast into a one-way street when a chap on a mountain bike decided to exit it the wrong way and put himself in the apex where I was about to be at speed. Had to brake to go around him shouting 'get the fuck out the way' and pointing out it was one-way.

Then got over taken just before a zebra-crossing and a roundabout this morning, and the car had to stop at the zebra-crossing. The driver decided she didn't want me filtering past her so aggressively moved to squeeze my space and block me. I followed her around the roundabout and got the satisfaction of overtaking her when she got stopped at another zebra when she got a 'you fucking prick' through the open window and I was able to sit in front of her in the lane until the next roundabout where I disappeared into Queen's Square.

  • Anyone else witness the nutter in the Audi A3 on clapham road this morning?

  • Seemed to be cunts of all types out this morning!

  • Crashed into from behind by a Boris Bike last night. He buckled my mudguard and it stopped my wheel spinning. He just slowly wobbled around me and continued on, as I sarcastically shouted “don’t worry about me, then” and got my tools out to free the wheel. Must’ve overtaken him eventually because he later pulled up beside me at a red light and apologised - I informed him he was an idiot and didn’t seem very sorry when he just rode off and left me there.

    • I noticed a pair of jeans lying on crouch hill this morning, someone had shit themselves and then just stripped off.
    • Enough with the electric long boards, go away now
    • Bus driver next to me at the lights tooting like mad, I look over and hes waving a slice of pizza out the window at another driver
    • I see so many cars without front number plates these days, have the police just given up?

I see this too. They don't tend to be on UK plates, I'm not sure if there are different rules for cars coming in from abroad.

  • Forgot that I pumped my tyres up to 80psi for a tarmac only ride the other day, took the gravel route to work.
    Bone shaking/10

  • Hmm I see it mostly for UK plates, with 'flash' cars. Dont try and tell me the front plate fell off your G waggon and you couldnt afford to fix it.

  • Enough with the electric long boards, go away now

Kind of amazed I haven't seen anyone stack it on one of these yet

There needs to actually be Traffic Police cars on the road to pull people over for this. Over-reliance on cameras does nothing but generate more revenue at a reduced cost.

Do you want to cause change, or make money? I am sure there is evidence that cameras do reduce injuries and deaths at specific accident "blackspots", but I welcome evidence that overall, cameras are better at reducing crime than actual Police personnel, out on the roads, policing.

  • The two are related - the more you can eliminate speeding, RLJ and yellow box infringements through cameras, the more you free up police time to concentrate on other things - mobile phone use, missing plates, other crappy driving. The revenue is a useful side benefit (and I say this as someone who has been caught by speed cameras in the past).

  • I’d be extremely surprised if the revenue even covers costs. This “cash cow” thing is a red herring.

You’re right in that cameras free up officer time.

  • Definitely noticing the missing front number plates on flash cars. And was riding behind an electric scooter merrily cruising through red lights this morning. Also, broken glass - seems to be everywhere and not cleared up for weeks.

  • Left work early due to my tooth Falling off. Was treated to a woman driving down the three lane all one way Gloucester place the wrong way and also a guy on a motorcycle drinking a glass bottle of coke as he was driving

  • Resurfacing my road this morning & another of the ways into the city centre of Leeds today - gravel ride to work!
