Transcontinental Race No. 6 - TCR6 - #TCRN06 - 2018

Just to add to Anisa'a story. After the Nordkapp Tarifa she dropped her bike at my place for a service. I planned to swap brake pads tyres chain pedals headset bearings and brake pads among other things. Before I had done any of it she said she wanted it as she was planning to ride to Geraardsbergen at the weekend, and would bring it back the following week. I just put new bar tape on, sorted out the front mech, and oiled the chain and she grabbed it and left. She had to be back by Monday as she had changed jobs before her last race, had to work her notice and start her new job.
She then messaged me from the TCR start saying she could have a start if she wanted, she had no route, no tri bars, no feeling or strength in her left hand and had to ride most of the way from the ferry out of the saddle dues to a sore backside from 7300 kms of racing over the three weeks prior. She was so excited at the prospect she went for it, and has now past CP1. Her right hand shifter has failed, and she has elastic bands to hold it in gear for climbing. She has no tape on the tri bars so her hand isn't recovering and she has to use her right hand to change from the inner to outer ring with the left shifter.
