If you don't have to have a pannier rack then more 'adventure' type bikes - bit like that orange - becomes a goer. Like the genesis Datum and the newish Cannondale Synapse. The later has hidden mudguard mounts, takes larger tyres but is more 'road' than an Arkose, Diverge, Sequoia etc.
