  • @Tijs Thanks, it's a gread ride !

  • I always forget about that place. Right on my doorstep.
The place that does Manaqish directly in front is ace too.

  • cheapo ebay tyres and metro front rack installed this afternoon

  • Been tinkering with this. I've given the whole frame a polish so it really shines now. Still a lot of imperfections but so much better then before. Also a few new parts, suntour superbe pro cranks and seat post, and a DA x campag wheel set.

  • Re building my Fondriest X-statuts with Campa groupset. Just need a stem :/ Maybe a carbon one ?
    Look at these hips...

  • Maybe a carbon one ?

    Maybe not.

  • Rubbish photo. Need to cut the steerer properly too, not very neat at the mo.

  • @ltc @Ptown

Cheers guys! I love this bike, feels so fast. Looking forward to new wheels coming so I can ride it with confidence again (braking surface on the current pair is shot).

  • haha so good!

  • I’m always confused about which 5-6-7-8 speed cassettes fit which freehubs and which chains are interchangeable. I just happened to have some cassettes and hubs out yesterday. This is a 9-speed SRAM cassette with the biggest gear taken off the back, so 8 gears on a 126mm wide 7-speed freehub. Didn’t know that would go on! I might have to get a set of 9-speed indexed dt shifters to give this a go!

  • Not on the black with blue stripes model as I’ve learned today at the bike shop. Thankfully, I had my brother’s old Fuji stock crankset and bb as I also bent his rear triangle. I owe him a bike.

  • These are my last projects, thirst a road Guerciotti with full Campagnolo Super Record groupset :

And my Laville pursuit almost finished, I just need to buy an Italia Turbomatic 2 saddle and yellow bartape :

  • Both awesome, great work. I would genuinely consider trying to build something like that Laville just to hang on my wall and enjoy looking at as i would never have need/reason to ride it.

  • That works up to 10 speed shimano/sram on Shimano 7 speed hubs, you'll need the same speed shifter for it to work.

  • needed a cheapo bike to feel safer locking up, unfortunately all the parts i have kicking around are quite posh lols

  • Double backwards Thomson, strong work

  • Isn't that cute - I will töight it up some more with a different fork and removing a link, promise

  • 8 is as many as I could fit on that freehub with the 9-speed spacers. I’m guessing the 10-speed must be narrower again? I’m quite happy with this because it means I can squeeze 8 gears instead of my current 6 into a 126mm rear with no re-dishing and (what looks like) no clearance issues.

  • Absolute banger.

    Would bang.

  • ok, got a rear dynamo light and some fat 60mm guards ordered, along with a SRAM nx rear derailleur and shifter.

Will be combining that with a nice XTR9000 11/42t cassette i picked up cheap on ebay and 42t n/w ring up front. Should be ideal for the commute.

Looking forward to pulling this all together!
