  • It will not

Track league(s) only as I’m not around at weekends for Opens

  • Crying out for a shimano chain

  • You’ve broken all the rules in terms of mixing here- was this mainly parts-bin, or do you have a reason for DA hubs and Sugino cranks, and the blended finishing kit?

  • In terms of drive train and Wheels. I just picked stuff that actully works/I know I won’t break.

Finishing kit is a bit of a departure for me admittedly. But, it looks a lot better than the old Bontrager bits I was going to put on it 😂

Also, when you don’t run Campag on a bike, there are no rules.

  • You must be really chuffed with that mate. So nice

  • Ta, very much looking forwards to collecting it

  • Well, you can acetone the bars and stem, but that crankset can't be compared to a 7710, which would really set the whole thing off. I've got a full (7710 bb, arms, ring) in a box in the garage, thinking about it. With matching 7710 hubbed track wheels.

  • @Ecobeard doesn't like shimano, finds it too breaky.

You planning a build with all that stuff or thinking of selling it? How long are the cranks and are the wheels tubs?

  • 165mm and yes, tubs. I've been saving it against the day that I make a track bike again, but that day never seems to come.

  • That day will come the day after you sold it.

  • Sell it to @Colm89

I am distinctly not interested in that gear.

No point getting the acetone out either, I’m sure it will all get chipped off in the HHV containers anyway

  • which would really set the whole thing off

Just don’t get this at all

  • Yes, we can tell.

  • we

    London Designers guild strikes again

You should discuss with @dan over an artisanal coffee

  • Shots fired

  • Still wondering if this is on the non-drive side...

  • God no

RIP in peace East Coast, hundreds of millions back in the treasury, record customer satisfaction and killed off for Souter and Branson

    Long live LNER

  • Made some progress on a few bits.

Firstly I got the Elsegood commuter workingish - more on that hot mess here

I've used the Intercity Track Frame for three Track leagues now (and some commuting) and even though I'm way off the pace its most definitely not! Its light, stiff and perhaps even better than my old Roberts, that was one of the best steel frames (Columbus mix) I've ridden.

The Isen is being moved onto @colm89 , as its the prototype and not really mine. He is also much more fashionable then me and even has some bike packing kit, so expect a fashionable #myisen build with 29er wheels. I'll be sorry to see the Isen go, but not the R8000 groupset that was genuinely fucking awful, stupid, silly stuff.

The second part of the Intercity Track bike tubes are getting turned into a singlespeed winter trainer/commuter. This maybe retro grouch and may also be railway themed, rumor has it that @coldharbour is even enjoying doing 'something different'

  • looking good!
    funky chainstays!!! whats that?

  • Nothing mental, I think they are just profiled that's all.

its probably because of my tremendous power weight...

  • Elsegood commuter slowly coming together

Everything has arrived for the SS commuter, apart from the fork materials so that shouldn't be to far off now.

I just need to get the wheels to sodding Mitcham....

  • I just need to get the wheels everything to sodding Mitcham....

Not looking forward to doing this on the next one.
