Bump for the vegan lunch market at Guildhall tomorrow. Everyone who works in the city, or has nothing else to do should pop down for it.
Say hi to Liz if you see her, she’ll be the one with the pink hair and clipboard looking stressed. -

It's great, I just hope people will be hungry in this heat!
I'll try to make it down.

So, this was excellent. Vendors sold out (the new doughnut maker most quickly as I was told she could probably have brought five times the stock she had). I got there a little late to experience the 30-40 long queues I was told had formed earlier but on the plus side got my food quickly and easily, only to then be too late for ice cream, as that also sold out while I was chatting and eating! Anyway, a big success, and well done to Lady Liz, who unlike Ed's almost entirely misleading information neither had a clipboard nor looked stressed, and had pink and orange hair and not just pink hair. Tsk. :)
Hoping it'll be repeated.
Snatches of conversations behind me that I overheard while I waited:
'Oh, a chicken curry? But then that's not vegan?'
'It's not real chicken, they're just pretending it is.''What's vegan?'
'I don't know, but the food looks yum.' -

'I don't know, but the food looks yum.'going solely off the behaviour of the pedestrians along gresham street there's not a huge amount of critical thinking going on around that area at the best of times.

Meat substitutes helped my girlfriend and I to transition. We could still cook the dishes we used to cook, and especiallly for social events like a bbq at friends we still bring fake sausages.
In regards to going back to eating meat.
I think eating vegan creates a lock in effect. The few times (3) I had animal protein or dairy after I transitioned, my body reacted by giving me stomach aches, and vomiting. Good reminder not to do it again. Also, remember that the next generation doesn’t only come to veganism from a animal welfare point of view. Now environment end health are huge drivers, with no killing as an added bonus.

Another great dish, this time from Humble Plates at Bison Beer on North Road, Brighton.
Half the menu here is vegan this is hoisin fried cauliflower, tofu and peanuts. And it appeals to punters like me not veggie or vegan but willing to try and the food is very good. What need to do is discover all meat substitutes and experiment at home.

had a great lunch at Tierra Kitchen in Lyme Regis today. tapas style lunch menu, all veggie, most of it vegan bar a couple of things with cheese, but all adaptable too. Think I've said before, but if you're in Dorset it's well worth a trip.

Yeah I keep meaning to go there. My son and me went to the Fossil fest, but on a Sunday, and they were closed.
Might make a special trip at some point with my wife as a few people have recommended it. -

Vegan Saddles: I have old Brooks Pro, Swallow, B17 and Cambium C15 on various bikes and find the Cambium hard, most comfortable is the Professional. Do you have any suggestions?

Specialized Romin is vegan (at least the version I have is). I have no idea how it compares to any of those others but it works for me!

how would i make vegan coleslaw? just replace mayo with some oil/vinegar dressing?
-

I don't like mayo anyway but I'm assured by my other half that this is better than the real thing:

The East Street Tap now do fully vegan food. It's by Beezlebab but are burgers and not kebabs. It's really really nice

Can confirm this is legit.
I mix it with a bit of chipotle paste to make chipotle mayo.. so good..

Veganaise is nice but pricey. My partner made a mayo style dressing using the water from a can of chick peas a few days ago. It takes minutes apparently - I'll see if I can find the recipe.

There's some of that in the fridge, but I'm a bit against fake foods. Suspicious that A it's horrible and B it's made in a chemical factory. Expeller pressed rapeseed oil for example.
So I went for some wholegrain mustard, olive oil, cider vinegar, salt and pepper.
