They must have known Froome was going to have problems maintaining a peak for a 4th GC. Thomas' season was set up to have him peaking for the Dauphiné to carry into the TdF.

Ha, me too. The week he won E3 before that windy Gent-Wevelgem and RVV, he was incredibly strong. Grats to Geraint for a pretty much faultless three weeks touring France.
