Yeah, but next to Froome's fourth GT in a row in the legs and still being within a second of him on the last TT in the third week. Those beetroot juice smoothies being handed out on the roadside surely make a difference...

Letour website hasn't even registered Dumoulin as finishing hence the confusion on ITV4

That was fun. Anyone for a #sneakyharvester this evening?

Well done G !
Will of course now be referred to as British not Welsh, until he looses.

Kudos for Team Sky for developing a Plan B(G?).
They must have known Froome was going to have problems maintaining a peak for a 4th GC. Thomas' season was set up to have him peaking for the Dauphiné to carry into the TdF.
And he did it!
NB 3 out of top 4 in todays TT. -

And here is me having said many times that Thomas should have concentrated on the Classics

Dumoulin is genuinely ecstatic, and big up to the clothing people - couldn’t ask for better advertising.

Dumoulin doing what the world champ ought to do, glad he won. Too bad for Roglic not making the podium as expected but no contest, what a great ride by Froome.
Congrats on the 1st Welsh Tour de France win!

ES is killing Roggers, proper harsh questions.

Wish I’d put money on this stuff a month ago, what an awesome finish.

Timekeeping was a mess again, tv clock stopped before Froome crossed the line!

Watching Sporza & Dutch tv, why, are they roasting him?
Guess the Jumbo DS will get some questions later on from Dutch tv-crew...

British not Welsh, until he looses.
*loses. -

Well done Geraint!!! Nervy
Also Thomas out performed his head to head average against Domoulin by 45seconds.
Yellow jersey gains > Aero gains.

Ha, me too. The week he won E3 before that windy Gent-Wevelgem and RVV, he was incredibly strong. Grats to Geraint for a pretty much faultless three weeks touring France.
Last Tour winner to have won a cobbled Classic is... ?

Has anyone been on more than 6 TdF winning teams?

• #2969
Q’s were negative “were you too tired after yesterday?” “What mistakes did you make?” “Could you have gone harder?” Etc
Finally!!! People cheering G! Not much of a boo at all.

Six for Hinault, Indurain, and Froome? (Five for Wales' finest.)

Was boardman almost cracking there?

G’s got me experiencing some feels and no mistake.

• #2973
Yup, so pleased for him... Great to see some real emotion...

Making me think about BDW, he would be over the moon about this... 🖤

Very cool, Thomas has always seemed so likeable and down to earth to me. Such a great palmarès and this is one huge cherry on the top. Awesome.
Well deserved. I think without the Giro in his legs he could have really contested G’s lead.
