My frame won’t take them. They look amazing.

My effort. Long time reader, first time poster. 1988 Aneto frame, few years old NOS veloce and old fulcrum wheels. Rides really nice. Not the greatest photo, valve stems a bit off 6 o clock, sorry!
It’s been a lot of fun and very educational as a first rebuild project, already looking forward to the next one with a properly nice frame...

You can edit your post to remove the text, it'll leave the image in place.
Your bike looks decent, though really needs a black saddle imo
-

Haha done. I’ve got a black saddle too, but the charge is so comfy!

They've available in black!

And sell for nearly the same price used as new if it's in good condition. Only £16 on Wiggle at the moment.

Right, I’d better have a look! More shopping, never a bad thing...

Nicely done. Are you thinking another retro frame or more modern for the next project? Enjoy the bike before the weather inevitably turns.

Definitely retro I reckon. Looking for a really good old colnago, bianchi etc in my size (tiny - 50/51cm). Totally loving retro steel!

I'd get saving now :p Seriously though sounds like a winner 👍

I have a 52 Olmo and a 54 Colnago Nuovo Mexico...

My attempt at this game. It's a Repco Vertex Vicenza from 1989, Reynolds 531 tubing and their top frame at the time. This Vicenza model came with Campagnolo and had a funky triple triangle design. It's seen a repaint, and I'd say it's a fairly tasteful one. Went with Campag Chorus 10 speed and a Praxis compact crank.

Ive swapped HS and fork for black
What is HS ?
Black forks ??? Why ? -
• #1222
HS would be headset I'd guess.
-
• #1223
Yeah HS is a headset. I also wasn't very precise about the forks. It's carbon, not black. Carbon forks + black HS really made that front end cleeeean.
Btw, the original forks were really special with a columbus pigeon you could barely see from underneath the chrome and a gentle bend on that legs that brings Samurai's Catana to mind (as they were also bent gently) :P
Sounds good ;)
