Looks like you may pass near my parent’s if that’s your route.
If you do go through Shropshire, call in Cafe Eleven in Ruyton XI Towns and tell Karen (the owner and my mum) that Phil recommended the cafe and you liked the sound of it that much that you came all the way just to go there. -

And indeed you'll be passing relatively close to me (Walsall way); if you want some company for the day's ride, and/or a bed/meal for the night, drop me a PM.

Why Durham? It's a nice place, just seems an odd choice for a visit. Visiting someone? Having said that if your other option is Middlesbrough, you have chosen... wisely

It's to low. I mostly use the bike with my 5 year old kid - then the gearing is perfect.

Why Durham?
No reason specifically. It's just a pin on the map to form a loop. Just want to head north and then west to finally drop south again. But everything is subject to change.

Spare room here just outside of Bath if you need it! Not on course currently but Bath and Bristol are both lovely so...

Cage might be on one of those twisty adapters

You don't, it's just there to remind you to get a flat white when you're passing a coffee shop in London.

Cock-knobs. Anyone know if I'll ever find this part for my Nitto M18 rack? Cock. (Just to confirm the thread should be longer, it snapped).

Shit! I know that part .. literally just installed M18 on my genesis (and dynamo rear light, waiting on the Nitto lamp holder to install front).

Quick google revealed nothing but this shop in Milwaukee unfortunately but maybe the SKU helps:

HubJub might have too ..they have those long struts.
I'll post the current plan for the route (going counter clockwise, in/around London on Friday/Saturday). If anyone feels inclined, they can always drop a PM.
@Eejit: Wouldn't really be able to tell you how they perform off road, mostly replaced my MTB tyres with the Big Apples because I was riding paved most of the time.
