I've no idea, Ireland completely screwed us over in that they priced the market into diesel based on Co2 and made petrol unfeasibly expensive. It's so hard to predict if they'll make the u-turn into driving diesel out because almost everyone here drives a diesel car now!
I'd actually much rather a big petrol to be honest but I can't claim the VAT on petrol in Ireland for work while I can claim diesel (for now).
All I can do is go on current situation where diesel is an awful lot cheaper to run over here!
Everyone is expecting VED to get quite steep for derv in light of it's Nox issues, and for taxation on the fuel itself to go up - dunno if that's going to carry over to Ireland, but if so is a big diesel a wise move?
