Strong ghettoing - was never quite sure leccy tape could withstand the pressure and the environment. Guess it can.

you just keep wrapping it. mate of mine did ghetto tubeless on his bmx about ten years ago like this, then ran 120 psi for street riding. he works at the hadron collider so I trust his judgement on these sorts of things, even if he did once break an ankle just walking through his house.

It held up to 120psi. That's when I stopped pumping in fear of blowing the tyres.

Done two retro mavic wheels with cut out valves from torn inner tubes, and electric tape last night. Poor man's tubeless seems to be working rather well.
