    The going rate is currently £10 per gramme which, were you to account for the ordinary running costs of a legitimate business, doesn't leave much room for a product specific tax.

    Considering the well-established illegal infrastructure, the public's attitude (it's normalised for a large part of it) and that recreational use is a low-priority for the police, then legal cannabis won't justify being considerably more expensive.
