  • So, this was excellent. Vendors sold out (the new doughnut maker most quickly as I was told she could probably have brought five times the stock she had). I got there a little late to experience the 30-40 long queues I was told had formed earlier but on the plus side got my food quickly and easily, only to then be too late for ice cream, as that also sold out while I was chatting and eating! Anyway, a big success, and well done to Lady Liz, who unlike Ed's almost entirely misleading information neither had a clipboard nor looked stressed, and had pink and orange hair and not just pink hair. Tsk. :)

    Hoping it'll be repeated.

Snatches of conversations behind me that I overheard while I waited:

'Oh, a chicken curry? But then that's not vegan?'
'It's not real chicken, they're just pretending it is.'

    'What's vegan?'
'I don't know, but the food looks yum.'

going solely off the behaviour of the pedestrians along gresham street there's not a huge amount of critical thinking going on around that area at the best of times.
