• People may shoot me down, but if you don't ride much i'd get a 27.5 plus hardtail.

    The bigger tyres give you so much traction you can get away with murder, so ideal for the occasional skill poor rider (that's me and I've been riding off road since I was 12). I haven't missed the rear shock one bit and you can easily get into propper bikepacking (not that gravel bike pretend bikepacking).

    They come up cheap both new and barely ridden. If you love it, go full bounce later if you think you still need it.

  • Yeah fair. Like I said, I wouldn’t mind a hard tail at all, and I’d only get full suss if one was for sale I could afford obviously. I’m not gonna rush, just wait for something cool to come up in my size. Maybe over winter when people aren’t riding off road as much there might be a few more for sale
