Suby Forester. Yeah good cars for down here. Plenty around and reasonably hardy. I went through a phase of wanting one and test drove a few. Pretty gutless but fine for our roads.
A lot that I looked at had had a fairly hard life though with either damage on every panel or oily leaking engines and large amount of float in the crank pulley. So choose carefully!

Bumped into a colleague who owns one today, grilled her about it and it'll do us fine... Perfect first car, room in the back, 4WD when needed, four cylinders, etc... I'm on the hunt for one, gonna buy it before I've got my licence otherwise I'm never gonna learn to drive... Incentive is very low when I can do most things on my Brompton... Apart from go up to the Sunshine Coast to visit nonna, which I would love to do but can't because father-in-law is a fucking psycho and I'm not getting in a car with him for a 90min drive!!
That's what I meant, tough day at the office... Wine is helping... Edited...
We saw that pic, lots similar but none exactly like that example...
I love the wheel arches, looks like it'd be super easy to turn it into a great looking hot rod...
