Landa looked (briefly) more active today. Seems his injury is getting better...
Hopefully he'll find some form tomorrow but I'm not holding out much hope.

I saw that and thought that might be what he was thinking

Why does everyone comment on Thomas falling over. Does he have a reputation for it? You'd have thought riding track would have made him a good bike handler. Though I guess there are no downhills on the track.

Initially I thought wooo, but that'd be bad for Geraint. I hope not.

Fractured kneecap brap

I fell off my bike going round a corner under 20mph and broke my wrist, he somehow somersaulted a wall at high speed and came away with a grazed elbow.

If Froome is going to go on a long one he will need Sky staff all along the route as he had for his Giro escape. Look out for people in hi-viz hiding in the bushes so as not to give the game away.
GT just needs to get (stay) ahead of him and eat all the things then.

Why did he fall over though? Something happened in the corner that made him wobble, puncture was it?

Another really good pic
And I know I'm not a pro rider but I reckon it was a misread of the moto in front. The motorbike slowed down and took it at a really shallow angle on entry, which would usually mean the bend is more sweeping. As soon as he realises he locks up.

He broke his kneecap!

Ooh, good point. Anyone know?

He was way on the inside of the corner then half way round he realised it was actually pretty sharp so grabbed the brakes, wheels locked, he skidded and met the wall sideways.

Ah, this news article says he didn't think anything was broken

He didn't tell Hinault to shut his trap when he came out with a load of ill-informed, inflammatory bollocks though did he?
No. They gave him an award instead. For being Bernard Hinault. Although that was the ASO, I believe, not the UCI, just to be clear.

They didn’t sweep all the roads today. That turn that caught Gilbert looked super dusty / sketchy.

He still went into the left hander at completely the wrong angle. Looked like he overcooked the preceding right hander and ended up way off line.
Booooh.
