Froome had a history of being able to take minutes out of all the GC contenders on a targeted stage.
Don’t think it will be today, unless he does a monster attack over the top and a daredevil descent to try and gain time.
Regardless of whether Geraint stays in yellow, Froome will want to increase his gap on Dumoulin ahead of the TT. -

The problem is these hosers never chase in third week.
I think if Windmills can, he will. He has a good opportunity here and learnt the hard way in the giro. Being under threat from Rog will also motivate. He hasn't targeted the tour (as far as I know he wanted the Giro?) so the team aren't relying on him so much. He can go for broke and I'd love it if he did.

Just say no to '0.0', kids.

Froome, solos the 65k stage from 60k to win lello shirt by 3mins.

Does't matter, it's the intention or implied intention.
In that case, his intention was to brush a cobweb off Gesbert's eyelash. BAN THIS THUGGERY!

How it is acceptable that the Sky team have to ride through a tunnel of hate and the constant threat of attack?
I don't care either way about their fortunes but if they are clear to race by the UCI and ASO then people should STFU.
With the atmosphere of menace and interference with the riders it seems like this year's race has already been trashed by the "fans".
Anyway, looking forward to stage 17.

It not only brings him and the team into disrepute but also the sport as a whole.
On the scale of "bringing the sport into disrepute" I'm not sure that really registers compared to almost anything else going on around cycling at the moment.
Rugby players hit each other all the time. Everyone enjoys it and gets on.
I get it that it's dangerous in terms of causing a crash, it's just it didn't. Storm in a bidon.

Thomas will probably collapse in the last week (used too much energy going for stages)
But his stage wins weren't long range attacks.

I agree with you there. He'll give it a go and maybe Dan Martin too (although it'll be futile). Quintana will just try and follow though. I hope he doesn't get a podium place.

Being under threat from Rog
You must mean P.

If you tried to or did punch someone in the street it’s be assault or gbh. There is not rational that because it’s a sport it’s acceptable
Children and young people watch cycling, what image does it set to them if they see a cyclist swiping at another and not being punished?

But sport is treated differently. You don't get ice hockey or rugby players being arrested during or after matches.

tbh if you start tolerating it because it was a shit punch it makes an already grey area that much messier and brings a nasty culture into the peloton.
The shitstorm over Sagan getting expelled last year being point in case. Or Grivko punching Kittel and getting a ban. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/uci-bans-grivko-for-punching-kittel-in-the-face/
That Sky chose not to appeal it or argue against it says to me they know it's indefensible, as much as it obviously doesn't stop others trying.

So. There's a bike race today.

Froome's spent all weekend saying he's happy to lose the tour.
Means he's going to whip out his wizened plums and teabag the Col de Mente today.

Nah - I'm sure he'll sit himself in the wind for 'G' all day instead.

Nah - I'm sure he'll shit himself

Protestors trying to block the road.

Shit luck for the breakaway, that was just about to go.
Looks like Haussler has got dusty eyes as well. Straw dust is horrible.

Do we start calling the French names again now?

Was it spray form the protestors or the cops getting the protestors?
The problem is these hosers never chase in third week. They just stare at each other and try and protect their top 5 places. Only Contador had the win or bust mentality
