  • Seems he needs to read Steve peters chimp book and see a psychologist. We all have an inner chimp and he seems to lock control.

And whatever anyone says about it not making contact it doesn’t matter, attempting a swing at someone like that has no place. It not only brings him and the team into disrepute but also the sport as a whole. He had to be excluded from the race.

On the scale of "bringing the sport into disrepute" I'm not sure that really registers compared to almost anything else going on around cycling at the moment.

Rugby players hit each other all the time. Everyone enjoys it and gets on.

I get it that it's dangerous in terms of causing a crash, it's just it didn't. Storm in a bidon.

  • If you tried to or did punch someone in the street it’s be assault or gbh. There is not rational that because it’s a sport it’s acceptable

Children and young people watch cycling, what image does it set to them if they see a cyclist swiping at another and not being punished?

  • I get it that it's dangerous in terms of causing a crash

Then you understand why it’s not tolerated. End of.
