  • Hi Guys,

Last week of august the missus and I are planning to leave East London and go for a little bike trip for a approx 4 days, possibly camping too.

She is relatively novice when it comes to bike but has great fitness outside of that so I think 75-100km max a day would be reasonable.

Any nice and gentle route you would recommend we could do?

-Would be nice to go somewhere on the coast but not necessary as long as scenery/road is nice
-We don’t mind taking the train to get out of London and get back from wherever we end up.

  • Suffolk! Perfect.

    Train to Woodford
Cycle North through the heathland and coastal areas, towards Lowestoft.
Follow bits of NCN 41, 42, 31, and then add your own detours
You could go to Orford Ness, Iken, Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh, Minsmere, Dunwich, Southwold.
Sea swimming pretty much constantly and lovely beaches
Wild camping spots everywhere in little patches of woodland
    Train back from Lowestoft
