Not sure if posturing, but if not, puts the kibosh on those who think we can just sit and extend the A50 timeline indefinitely until our politicians figure out something that is palatable.
I think it's spot on, what would the EU gain by allowing us to kick the can down the road for another 3 months? Nothing other than more chaotic posturing in place of negotiation.
If there was a genuine game-changer such as an election then that's a good reason - but giving us more time to be useless in? That's not a good reason.
