Unsure if the right thread but Paul Lowe has passed away.

This is very sad.
Paul was one of the lights in the cycle training world. The director of Cycling Instructor, ex CTUK and CTC. His expertise was in understanding trends in cycling and the cycle training market through research under the tutelage of Rachel Aldred.
His company enabled many people to cycle.
He also became a friend both of us having mutual respect for each other despite a slightly different approach.
While he had been ill for a while, he had an operation and said that he was feeling the best he has felt for years. This was sudden and a shock. I will miss him.
RIP Paul

Oh, that is sad. I didn't know him as well as skydancer did, but have long and fond memories of him. I first met him at Car-free Day in Shoreditch in 2003. Much too soon.

I had my first interview for cycle instructor work with him and worked for him for 2 years after. Not someone I'd say I knew well at all having only met him 3 times but still nice them times I did meet him.

Sad to hear that Monty Young, founder of Condor Cycles passed away earlier today, having just celebrated his 88th birthday at the weekend.
He has contributed enormously to the London cycling scene over the years.
