Only noticed on changing over the chainring that I was missing the hidden bolt....
Hah, recurring problem when it haven't been torqued properly before it left the shop.

Replace pads when you can, they work fine but they're a one piece type rather than cartridge.

I remember from working in a Brompton dealer for 3 years that there are so many little brompton bugs like that - the most recurring was the brake pad holders not being tightened properly, or even remotely in line with the rim!

I have newer style cartridges!
Was thinking about sticking some swisstops on there though....

Yeah out of the box, it's like that, but then again it is up to the reseller to ensure the bicycle is torqued and adjusted properly before selling them.
Swissstop BXP will work for you, don't go for that green stuff!

TBH I always checked every bike over before it left the shop - particularly stuff like drivetrain and brakes - like - the stuff that’ll kill you if it’s not tight 😂

Every fitting, all the set up, nothing less.
It’s so easy to tell when a bikes not been set up right, left cranks falling off.. suspension blocks/stop discs falling off, seatpost slipping etc.
In other news... this is why we don’t buy cheap ti parts... didn’t get past 10nm...

No but buy black and let me know if the ano wears

Just buy a normal black brompton one and a black pentaclip.
I went through a phase with the raw laquer brompton I had trying to upgrade the Seatpost: as it’s so bloody long I like the reassuring rigidity of the very sturdy brompton made posts. Everything else was very flexy by comparison!

I went for the matte one
