  • Is it possible to get a decent grind from a Krups bladed grinder?

So far I’m gettin dust, or uneven chippings and I’m not sure how to get nice coffee from either of those.

I can see it getting relegated to grinding ‘spices’.

  • I used one like that before somebody gave me a proper grinder.
Got the impression slowly shaking / moving the thing up and down helped with a homogeneous "grind".
It was ok for using it in a moka-pot.

  • I don't like bladed grinders very much. Krups do a cheap burr grinder I recently bought. I was initially unhappy with the fine grind setting as I wasn't getting a fine enough grind to produce the marbled crema on the espresso, so I basically forced the fineness knob towards fine trying to will it better - I felt a snap and the knob gave way. Turned it 90 degrees beyond the most fine setting - perfect grind, perfect extraction.

Unfortunately you'll never get good results from a bladed grinder. Get rid of it and buy a decent £50 hand grinder. I swear my Porlex gives a better grind than even my Mazzer mini.
