We watched stage 9 from the cobbles of mons-en-prevele, where we encountered a group a 5 frenchmen determined to boo, hiss, swear and hit out at anything british/sky branded. Some of it came our way as we cheered Thomas et al by, despite the fact that I was there with my wife and toddler. Highlight was the lead rider of group 3 on the road (not sure who, but EF english speaking) telling them loudly to fuck off as he came past at full gas.
It's frustrating at the double standards - Virenque etc - but also because they don't feel the same positive energy towards supporting their own.

All that booing is really grinding my testes. How can someone invest all their time to get that close, just to ruin a celebration??
