  • Well there is only like a 10 minute walk to Ash station at home end, but I could lock up the bike at the station. It appears to be a place where people lock up very expensive bikes with shite licorice locks and get away with it! I was thinking of keeping a beater at Waterloo for the bit from there to fleet st...anyone do that?

  • Tower Bridge was open this morning, so filtering motorbikes and cyclists take up both lanes on opposite sides of the bridge. Soon as the gates open it's mayhem.
One guy on a motorbike decides to come directly at me, cyclists to my left forced to swerve into the pavement, I skid towards them.
Decided to check the video on my Fly6 and cyclist behind me whacked him on the head for that stunt. Crazy morning.

  • in is infact entirely concave and no longer resembling a dick which is nice.

  • I wish , twas quite amusing.

  • Decided to check the video on my Fly6

    Let's see this footage please.

  • Coincidentally, yes, i had one at Kings Cross for a bit. But the racks are actually on the platforms there, so not comparable. I use an old shopper folder now instead - yay for granny bikes!

  • Used to. A Brompton is better.

  • @c00ps I may look into one of these folding bikes then. I have basement parking at work so wouldn't need to unfold and other end.

@umop3pisdn perhaps a brompton but they are $$$$!

  • Worth every cent

  • Not sure how to show the video, still learning to use this thing.

Uploaded a couple pictures of the incident here: https://imgur.com/a/qs9GRHa

  • What happened after that?

  • bromptons are the perfect bike for using a cycle to work voucher.

  • Aren't those tiny plates illegal?

  • I will have one. I hope I'm never a train commuter but I will own a Brompton, you mark my words. shakes fist

  • Hadn't heard of this site (quickly checks own car and relieved at nothing).
@kiex definitely add your tale and picture.

  • Neither had I until 5min ago. I think we should support them :)

Gamify the name and shame. Win prizes... etc.

  • Oh, think I'll give that a go.

Not sure what happened after, it's a jumble of pixels on the camera. But the motorbike dude did catch me up down Tower Bridge road to ask if I was the one that hit him. That was my cue to check the footage.

  • Oh really? We do have that scheme here but I was planning on getting a bit of an off road thing as we're going to be in the surrey hills a lot! May check them out then.

  • "Yes, it was me, you want another shot at the title, princess?"

  • In my head I always have amazing responses. But in reality I just point at my headphones and pretend I can't hear them and won't stop to listen.

  • That's what most drivers do - wind up the window and pretend nothing is happening outside.

I rarely think of anything clever to say until afterwards, my immediate reaction unless I'm super tired is always a fucking torrent of fucking fucking fucking cunt shitfacedmotherfucking cunt you get the idea.

  • by that I mean a brompton is a pretty niche kind of bike which you buy to fulfil a specific role, i doubt I would have ever bought mine given the cost if i was paying for it upfront, but the hefty discount you get and the fact you pay about £50 a month before you get your salary for just a year made it a worthwhile purchase. plus they hold their value really well. I lost about £200 selling mine after owning it for about 4 years and that was giving someone mates rates for it.

  • Even better is when your employer forgets to take any of the payments out for the voucher.
