Commuted 120km on this today with about 50km of gravel thrown in for shits and giggles.
Absolutly brilliant machine.

Murdered out! Off topic: just curious, why do you always take vertical photos? 😄

I find a flat on side profile the most aesthetically arousing!
But here’s a semi-frontal just for you:

This frame is designed for smaller riders. Says starting at 4ft10.

No guard mounts?

I mean holding your phone vertically, making for a portrait style photo.
I agree, drive side profile shot is the best.

Been looking at geos and the cannondale bad boy is near identical to the arkose. Wouldn’t mind putting drops on one for a cheaper slate knock off. Nearly 30mm more stack though so max slammage would be had.
Hmmm.
Couldn’t have guards n flaps for the winter though -

Ah 😂
Who knows - habit - phone easier to hold and shoot portrait!

should we start a JustGiving page for your bidons?

Guards are a liability off road anyway. N+1, buy it and turn Arkose into dedicated commuter

Don’t think I’d get that reasoning past the boss

She is fantastic really though, not controlling like I probably make her sound haha. In fairness I just showed it to her and she said “buy it then” so might be a goer. -

Not really worth it TBH, especially since the brake literally need to come off in order to remove the wheel (compare to a proper lefty where you just need to loosen it and pull it out of the hook), they're very heavy too, especially the oddly suspension corrected fork where Cannondale isn't even selling one with a suspension.
Lastly, the geometry is completely different to the Arkose, which one are you talking about? it's a lots longer and taller, and most importantly, it got a massive trail of 99mm! it got a very short stem and flat bar for a reason.

Lolwut?!

It’s not completely different I don’t think. Just a cm longer and 3 taller but 2cm higher BB means fit is similar.
Angles are within 0.5 degrees so handling similar, same rake fork.
Arkose comes with a short stem too but I still like it with a 120.Above all else, lefty fork is cool and that’s it

Forgot you don’t cycle if there’s been rain within the past 72 hours

Or if there will possibly be rain in the next 72h

Quite annoyed that these all max out at 58 cm http://road.cc/content/buyers-guide/233514-your-complete-guide-vitus-2018-road-bike-range
I would like to join some CX races that I kept missing time for in the last few years, that is probably the main and only reason for staying fairly narrow.
Leaving the knobby questions for now, do you think for tarmac and maybe occasional gravel (considering having a second wheelset for harder terrain) I should go for 650Bx42-48 or 700x28-32c? My 700c rims are 20 mm inner width so won't go any narrower than 28c.
