Full respect for Movistar for trying something. Tactically quite good but Sky have too much power
Alpe d'Huez tomorrow! -

The way Sky were just riding on the front of the peloton earlier I really didn't think they were going to get a stage win.

Oh, that's great that my mate G has won this.

GG, G!

Looking forward to Thomas hugging froome's wheel for the rest of the race.

Amazing ride by both G & T.

Egan bernal from finishing way ahead of Yates mad.
That’s said not sure how much use he will be as a domestique in the third week.

Can we start a sweepstakes of when Thomas crashes out?

Its Mr G. MBE to you.

The ride back down tonight.

• #1164
It's impressive but I don't think he ever put his nose in the wind, he basically got motor paced up by Rowe/Kwio/Moscon

With 1min25 in had as a team sky will have to ride for Thomas really. They can’t throw away that lead burning him as a domestique.
-
• #1166
I'm serious. He's never going to have a better chance to win the tour. Why wouldn't he do this? Sod Brailsfords instructions.

Neither did Yates, or any of the other gc guys that got blown before him.

It makes sense now to ride for G, as they need to protect the yellow jersey for as long as possible.
With Froome lurking back 1.5 minutes back, he could easily make up time if both G and him are feeling good, Froome attacks, G marks the chasers, who aren’t sure whether they should be marking Froome or Geraint.
Looks like Movistar are now all in for Quintana, so should make for some great racing tomorrow!

Carlton Kirby did his best to ruin it but that was amazing racing.
Thomas has got to be Sky’s main protected rider now. But somehow I just can’t see Froome pulling for him.

Bring on the Alpe

missed a bit and came in with Imlach and Boardman talking about some commissaire decision stuff, and not penalising 60 riders. What happened?

Yeah and Yates will be stage hunting so going to be fun to watch.
Martin in the form of his live, I’m so happy to see that. Favourite rider.
