Any recommendations for a share dealing platform?
I've read money saving experts page on the subject. I'll only be making one or two trades a month at first.

Look at spread betting; seriously! Just use a tiny bit of your money on each trade.

Lower comission than shares.
It's considered gambling, so no tax.
World-wide markets, incl indices and comodities.

Go with IG Index, and you'll aslo get a great charting package if you want to study trends etc.
