Looks good!
Did you do anything to treat/protect the frame? I saw this on the Surly site https://surlybikes.com/info_hole/spew/spew_care_and_feeding_of_your_steel_frame
I did not. I'm not sure if Armoutex did any of that. I'd certainly request those measures if I did it again.

Fave tires to put on rollers?

Depends, but I have Challenge Strada Bianca’s on mine at the moment and they’re ace provided you don’t skid too much...

Hey guys, hope this is the right place to post this! I'm looking to get a Surly Steamroller, how much do you think it should cost me? Specifically looking at second hand 56cm
Edit: I’m 5’10 and a bit, perhaps 55 or 54 better suited - any advice? TIA -

Complete bike or frame and forks? Keep an eye on the Classifieds

Can't say how Surlys hold their value across the pond, but I paid a little less than $600 for mine used, with an extra set of fancy tires and some pretty nice components (dura-ace hubs, S75 cranks, etc). I felt like that was a pretty solid deal.

Anyone got front rack suggestions without fork change? I need to add a dachshund transportation feature to give mine a new purpose in life...

Pelago commuter. Mounts to mudguard eyelets or front wheel axle.

Cool, thanks I'm on it. Next step to work out how to harness the beast to it..

You could consider their Rasket, which is an integrated rack/basket combo. It's on the GF's bike and works great.

Non disc carbon fork suggestions for Steamroller? OG fork is 375mm Axle to crown and 38mm rake, trying to find something similar but no luck so far.

My recommendation would be to bite the bullet and go disc, makes such a difference!

Whisky No. 7 RD+ if you got the $$$

Would be nice but other than the associated cost of new wheel and brake i want the option of running a rear brake for more relaxed riding. A friend is sorting me a pair of TRP's for a very good price so all good on the stopping front (loaner Tektro doubled in power when i changed pads to Swiss-stop).

Cheers, but i don't!
Best budget option looks to be one of the Kinesis DC07's knocking around on ebay, i'd accept the 43mm rake for the weight difference.
Just hoping it's not one of the recalled models...
Nice. Did you do this yourself? If not, where did you get it done?
