So finally...... An update on this.
Because my painter was doing this as a pet project I had to be very patient as he had other jobs ongoing. (plus the fact the first batch of pearl paint was very brittle so he had to take it down to bare metal for a second time)
Anyway just got the photos from him of the frame, fresh out of paint.
It's a pearl white with gold sparkle through it. Then he went to town with my design in gold leaf. All logos are either gold leaf or paint and I tried to keep with the original classic design and not go too crazy, although I must admit the colour coded stem will raise a few eyebrows..
Now to get on and finish this build.
