I keep getting spammed by my energy provider to say they are in the area and want to install smart meters for my gas and electricity. Should I say yes? Getting annoying now.

Depends if you want the hassle of having to be around to let them in to fit it.

It doesn’t tie you in, but the stupid things might not work if you change supplier

More like dumb as fuck. I didn't realise they were provider specific. If I changed supplier, I presume the new one be able to come and replace with their own variant?
