Yeah, I'm learning how to operate disc brakes - have built and maintained a fair few bikes but not with hydro discs, which are a bit of a different set of things to deal with.
Oddly all the online videos seem to ignore pushing the pistons back in and assume your new pads slide into the same space as the old, hence the question.
I know it’s OK if you know what you are doing but for someone who hasn’t done it before - because let’s face it if you have to ask the question ‘how do I get the new pads in’ it’s certain they don’t know what they are doing - it’s leading them down the path of busted pistons and / or seals.
