I wouldn’t do it if you’re not sure. Can you post some pics of the frame, the clamps, and where they clamp on? Maybe dry fit it and take some pics close on the clamping bits.

That's badass

Do not! Certain failure!

What are my options with a carbon frame then? No pannier mounts either which is frustrating

20'' cargo bike, for when your kid has it's own stuff to haul around (or a baby of it's own).

I'm considering picking up an old royal mail Pashley to use as a kidmobile, can anyone think of any reasons they might not be suitable?
My thinking is that they're pretty cheap to pick up and can carry a lot of weight, so I could potentially come up with some kind of bench seat on the rear rack when the little one grows out of a child seat.

If you want it, send me a PM and come collect.
The missus is keen to take our 2 year old on some adventures and is asking me to prep her bike (a Liv avail with carbon frame). Previously when we’ve been out I have clamped one of the cantilever clamp seats to my alu cx frame, with no worries. Slightly more concerned about using the same setup to carry our 15kg sprog on a carbon frame. Thoughts?
