  • There's only one way to get the running mojo back... new shoes! Brooks Ghost, feel great so far (5 miles easy). Similar feel to Adidas Glide Boost - nicely cushioned but not spongy - if anything, marginally more comfortable on my feet. (I bought these at Marathon Expo but Runners Need have them for £69 at the moment if anyone's interested.)

  • Brooks Ghost

Interesting, ta. I got on well with the Glide Boost a couple of years ago for London Marathon. I got the Boost Tempo Aktiv in the same size and promptly found them too small and can't run in them. Toe box was definitely smaller and was causing blisters and bruised toes.
Got Solar Boost and really liking them (although also had to size up 1/2 from the old Glide Boost). And relieved to find ones that I've got a few weeks to wear in before Hamburg IM at the end of the month.

  • Ghost definitely worth considering. The tongue/heel area is more plush and really comfy to slip into, and the upper is more stretchy and forgiving than the Glide. I've always liked the fit of Brooks shoes (been through Adrenaline, Defyance and Glycerin) and these might be the best yet. Since Adidas replaced Glide with the super-cushiony Supernova I've been on the look-out for a new long term everyday trainer and I'm hoping these will do the trick.
