I’ll be interested in how/what gear shifter you’ll be using with those brake levers.

Older style 2 speed trigger currently, it’s for a friend, so I have a KS dropper post lever I may use

Do you think if there is any chance of getting the integrated shifter to be attached the those lightweight brake shifters you got right there for that build?

So after a few weeks on the Brompton I’m finally gotten use to riding and folding this around London Town.
My thoughts so far riding this little nipper is that despite my years of turning up my nose on it has really grown on me, and Brompton as a company definitely knows what they’re doing and have built a wonderful machine.

However, maybe I need to get my 6 weeks service to the bike but there are a few issues I’m finding this this bike atm, noticeably is the brakes or lack off in my case I find that they’re really soft and quite unresponsive, which means I probably needs to change the brake pads once these are worn out by the end of the year. But my issue is the front brake calliper which keep getting offset from his true alignment every time I brake to stop suddenly. Have people experience this before? Is it the brake calliper itself or I haven’t tightened it up properly?

Tyres: these kojak are amazing btw, I haven’t put the finish line sealant yet but so far on my daily 10 miles commute is seems to holding up quite nicely, plus every time I look at my tyres the glimmer of seeing those tan walls put a big smile on my face.
I’ll definitely try to my best to upkeep these baby through the colder and wetter period of winter. For the moment the standard BB seems to be working fine, is there any alternatives if I was to upgrade the BB after I’ve worn them out? Ive seen a few using the titanium and even CK ones too. Sorry for the novice question as mechanics isn’t my strong point on bikes.

Upgrades, well this was going to happen regardless no? My initial upgrades as I stated at the beginning would be carbon bars and possibly the idea of carbon seatpost (risky I know) but I can’t help the idea of matchy matchy with my bikes.
Also anyone knows if ee brakes can actually fit on Brompton’s fork mount or is that just an internet myth as the current brakes doesn’t have a lot of braking force atm. Granted I probably can get compressionless cable for a better feel when braking.

Also the standard Brompton bell sucks!!

Scrap the idea of the EE brakes as you need an add-on mount to actually make it work 🤦🏻♂️

Lose some weight in the cranks with something like hollowtech or gxp. Might be more cost effective than a Ti bb. Suppose it depends on how much the current cranks weigh?
Carbon bars are a good shout. I'd maybe go with a Ti seatpost but that's cos I'm forever moving mine up and down with the QR so I assume it'd scratch/rub the post too much.

The cranks are lighter than a hollow tech set up,
To post by jtek is spot on, and even has the flared lip on the end so I doesn’t pull out the top, I wouldn’t entertain carbon myself, I would also go for a TPW ti bar to match.
The brakes are good, change the pads for shimano DA ones and they are much better, sounds like your caliper isn’t tight enough, just pull on the brake hard and wing the 5mm on the back of the fork up a bit - then check the pads are hitting the rim at the same time.
The bells are okay, when we get out of maternity and earning a little more I will be buying us a pair of spur cycle bells - IMO the only bell worth buying.
If you want to loose more weight there are lots you can do, and also lots of stuff that costs lots but doesn’t save you anything / much.
A TPW ti B.B. will save you a nice amount but at £120/£175 it’s a chunk of cash... you can buy ACE ones online for £35 odd, got one to fit as we speak - will be my first dealing with them. Also got a ACE crankset to fit - will update of weight savings etc.

Stock cranks / bb is 765g or so, the ones I’m fitting to this build are 477g!

Carbon wheels and the such. All by Joseph kousac. Maybe you should bling with his stuff. -

The headset and suspension block are amazing, the bars are great, the cranks / wheels are heavier but have “the look”

Still compiling a shopping list for this little pocket of joy. Getting use to riding this at a reasonable speed and overtaking prommuters.
