I'm responsible for the rumblings, some of it anyway. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with it, but they suffer from the usual issues you'd find on bladed steel disc forks*. The blades are very beefy to resist the disc forces, yet they flex aft when you brake, which is not something you'd feel with rim brakes, or disc carbon forks. The extra material also means they're not as compliant as a similar design made for rim brakes.
I rode 1000s of kms with my Straggler (from London commutes to WE rides, I even did a Paris-Roubaix with it) and the front end feel was my only real complain about it.
*Victoire reported issues with theirs, Elephant moved to a unicrown design for the NFE, and Thorn make one one but are pretty vocal about the compromises.
There are rumblings around the forum that the straggler fork is naff. Any owners here care to add anything?
I was thinking about buying one for my cross-check but am being put off
