• Yep. Not sure how often you muller your tyre sufficiently to unseat it while still being able to seal so you can stay tubeless.

Also want to really avoid getting any shit on your shovel if you're gonna keep it right under your nose. Probably better mounting on the down tube near the bb to also act as a bit of a bash guard.

I just think it's cool when people experiment and push the boundaries a bit, doing new things. This bike has all sorts and it only takes one idea to stick.

Seems to be aimed at the kind of folk who are out of range of bike shops for weeks/months at a temperature, and carry sewing kits to patch up their tyre sidewalls.
Totally agree on the shovel placement point. Imagine getting used to scoffing jellybeans straight from your top tube bag, then absent mindedly reaching down...

  • You both realise it’s for digging the ground, not some odd cleaning/sexual ritual, right?
I mean mud is dirty and all but you ain’t gonna be actually shovelling shit unless you have terrible aim/ dig a hole too small.

  • You’d take a bike that’s relying on pressurized air in it’s tubes on expedition in remote locations? I doubt it’s aimed at people who actually do expeditions/long tours.

If you’re concerned about weight fill it with pressurized helium. Probably won’t stay in for too long though.
